Our Scholars Reach Higher and Dream Bigger
SPOC was intentionally designed to have a comprehensive, whole child approach to student success. Our Community Meeting program was developed to better identify, support and serve our historically underserved student population and is the main driver of the increase in the identification of youth experiencing homelessness at our campus.

Achievement and Acknowledgment
We have achieved exceptional success and recognition, thanks to our effective outreach to our target population, particularly students experiencing homelessness. Some of our accomplishments include:
CCSPP Grant
Receiving $396,500 from the California Community Schools Partnership Program – only 20 schools or districts in the state were selected for this prestigious grant.
#1 in Math Growth
Scoring as the #1 ranked public school in California on student academic growth in Mathematics as measured by 2018 results of the CAASPP.
#1 in ELA Growth
Scoring in the top 1% of schools in student academic growth in English Language Arts/Literacy as measured by 2018 results of the CAASPP.
7 Year Renewal
Receiving a seven-year charter renewal from the Orange County Department of Education due to our identification as High Performing by the California Department of Education (the top designation for renewal under AB 1505).
$12 Million in Funding for Expansion
Securing $12 million in federal grant funding from the CSP CMO program for replication and expansion.
$18 Million Bond Financing for Facilities
Securing over $18 million in bond financing for facilities acquisition and building.
$300,000 in Support from Community Agencies
Receiving over $300,000 in grant funding from community agencies.
CA Distinguished School Award Recipient
SPOC was named a CA Distinguished School in its first year of eligibility.
