As part of our preparations for the academic year, Scholarship Prep’s Student Services team distributed back-to-school kits to more than 200 students and their families experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
The event served students in three counties and provided school essentials, including dress code items (polos, sweatshirts, shorts, pants), school supplies, backpacks, boxes of non-perishable food items, snacks, and hygiene kits. These supplies will help ensure our students have what they need to succeed in school and ease the burden on their families.

This resource distribution is not a one-time event; Scholarship Prep hosts additional supply events in December, halfway through the school year. If families require support outside of these large distributions, the Student Services team is always available to connect families with campus resources or through community partnerships.

Providing resources and building relationships helps make a significant impact on the lives of our students and their families experiencing homelessness. We’re thankful for the dedication of the Student Services Team led by Kristen Crowe (Chief Community Officer) and assisted by Victor Carcamo (Coordinator of Student Services) and Karina Montes (Student Services Assistant).
